Is it important to you that your skin care is dermatologically tested? At Green People, we are experts in sensitive skin care so this is a topic close to our heart.

An easy way to trust that a product is suitable for sensitive skin is to check the product description for signs that your skin care has been dermatologically tested.

Discover what dermatologically tested means as we ask our experts to define what we mean when describing our products as dermatologically tested.

What does dermatologically tested mean?

Dermatologically tested means the products have been tested on human skin in a controlled, clinical environment.

In the case of Green People products, all our dermatologically tested products have been tested on 30 volunteers for 96 hours to investigate the skin irritation potential and have been shown to be suitable for sensitive skin. We do not undertake any animal testing.

Hypoallergenic and suitable for sensitive skin, all Green People products marked as dermatologically tested are clinically proven to be kind to sensitive skin.

Is Green People dermatologically tested?

Yes, many of our products are dermatologically tested, including our scent-free range and our natural and organic sun care collection.

All of our products are suitable for sensitive skin, and we clearly mark on our website when they have been clinically proven to be kind to sensitive skin.

Here are some of our best-selling dermatologically tested skin care products:

Are all skin care products dermatologically tested?

No. In the UK, there’s no legal requirement for brands to have their products dermatologically tested, and as it’s a costly and time-consuming process, many brands choose not to submit their products for testing.

Do I still need to patch test if a product is dermatologically tested?

No one has the same skin as you. That means dermatological testing can show that your skin care is kind to skin, but it does not guarantee that you will never experience a reaction.

If your skin is prone to irritation, you should patch test products before use, even those dermatologically tested.Learn how to patch test skin care at home.
