Yes, you can use shower gel as bubble bath! To make it easier for you to keep your bathroom clear of clutter, we make sure that all our organic shower gels can be used as organic bubble baths too. Read on to discover how to use shower gel as bubble bath and discover which shower gel is best for your next soak in the bath.
How to use shower gel as a bubble bath
All Green People natural shower gels can be used as a bubble bath and will lather into a botanical bath soak when mixed with running water.
Most other brands will be the same. Simply squeeze a few drops of our shower gel under the taps as you run the bath to create your natural bubble bath.
You can also blend our Alexandra Kay essential oil blends with our Scent Free Shower Gel to create a bliss-scented bubble bath which is perfectly tailored to your fragrance preferences.
Time to Sleep is delivers a soothing Lavender scent and is our recommendation for a relaxing pre-bed bath.

Best bath products for sensitive skin
If your skin is sensitive, stick to a bubble bath that’s made without soap, SLS or synthetic fragrance. Bath bombs often contain SLS so are best avoided!
If you think your skin could tolerate a tiny amount of essential oil you may want to combine our Scent Free Shower Gel with a couple of drops of an Alexandra Kay essential oil blend before you mix it with running bath water.
After bathing, always replenish the skin barrier with a body lotion made with plants actives with intensely hydrating, emollient like properties.
We recommend applying our Scent Free Hand & Body Lotion whilst the skin is still damp to lock moisture into delicate skin. Made with actives that intensely moisturise and support a healthy skin structure, it contains Squalane, Evening Primrose oil and Shea Butter.
The best bath products for pregnancy
We advise against adding highly concentrated essential oils to bubble baths during pregnancy but all our natural bubble baths are pregnancy-safe and our ultra-gentle baby washes can all be used as bubble baths by mums to be. Just take care not to run the bath too hot!

Can shower gels be used as shampoo?
It depends on your hair type and the pH level of the shower gel but most high street shower gels should not be used as a shampoo.
However, our Green People for Men Energising Shower Gel doubles as a shampoo and can be used to keep scalps and short hair fresh and clean.
